Focused Shockwave Therapy for Chronic Tendinopathies
Non-Invasive Treatment Eligible for Direct Billing to VAC, RCMP Veterans’ Health Care Program, and CAF (where applicable)
Regain Mobility and Reduce Pain – Tailored for Veterans and First Responders
Qe specialize in focused extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) – a safe, evidence-based, non-invasive treatment that stimulates healing in chronic tendon conditions. Many service-related injuries involve persistent tendon issues (tendinopathies), and we’re here to help you access care with minimal barriers.
We offer direct billing to Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC), the RCMP Veterans’ Health Care Program, and support for eligible Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members/veterans – subject to approval and eligibility.
Current VAC Coverage for Focused Shockwave Therapy (Updated 2025 Policy)
Effective December 1, 2025, VAC authorizes focused shockwave therapy (ESWT) for chronic tendinopathies only when specific criteria are met:
- Symptoms present for >6 months
- Unresponsive to standard conservative treatments (e.g., physio, meds, rest)
- Up to 3 sessions per tendinopathy (lifetime limit; sessions before December 1, 2025, do not count toward this limit)
- Prior authorization required – we handle the paperwork, submit treatment plans, and confirm details with Medavie Blue Cross/VAC
Note: Coverage is no longer available for non-tendinopathy chronic pain, erectile dysfunction, or other conditions. RCMP programs often align with VAC guidelines; active CAF members may have broader access through Canadian Forces Health Services (contact us for details).
We’re committed to transparency – contact us to confirm your eligibility based on the latest policy.
