Urinary Incontinence & BPH

Urinary incontinence is a medical condition characterized by the involuntary leakage of urine. It refers to the inability to control or hold urine, resulting in unwanted and uncontrolled urine leakage. Urinary incontinence can vary in severity, ranging from occasional leakage to complete loss of bladder control.

BPH stands for Benign Prostate Hyperplasia, which is a non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is a small gland located below the bladder in men, and it surrounds the urethra, the tube that carries urine from the bladder out of the body.

As men age, the prostate gland can gradually grow larger, leading to a condition known as BPH. The exact cause of BPH is not fully understood, but it is believed to be related to hormonal changes, particularly the increase in levels of the hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

Focused Shockwave Therapy is a safe and effective treatment for both Urinary or Bladder Incontinence and BPH.

About Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment option that uses focused shockwaves to stimulate the body’s natural healing process by promoting neovascularization – the formation of new blood vessels. Clearing blocked blood vessels, the removal of calcifications, plaque and scar tissue, and improving circulation are the key results of successful treatment. The process was initially used to perform lithotripsy to destroy kidney stones without surgery. Focused Shockwave Therapy is highly effective as an Incontinence treatment, Erectile Dysfunction treatment, Peyronie’s Disease treatment, and Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome treatment.

You may see many different terms used for shockwave therapy, including ESWT (Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy), acoustic wave therapy, radial shockwave therapy, and focused/linear shockwave therapy (F-SW). However, not all shockwave therapies are the same. Only focused shockwave therapy devices are approved to be used by the regulatory body for treating sexual health conditions. Focused shockwave treatment provides a targeted treatment that reaches the cellular level of your condition.

There are various benefits to choosing focused shockwave treatment over other types of shockwave treatment options. Focused shockwave treatment is a non-invasive, painless procedure that doesn’t require any numbing creams. Some additional benefits of the treatment include:

  • No Pain

  • No Anesthetic

  • No Scars
  • No Pills or Drugs
  • No Downtime
  • 80-90% Efficiency
